Wipro partners with Citrix, HPE to expedite remote working solutions

Wipro said that it has joined forces with Citrix Systems and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to offer a robust solution for enterprises to expedite remote working and bring modernization into workspaces.

The solution will provide a seamless framework to facilitate a unified experience for organizations, said the Indian IT services provider. It will be delivered via a pay-per-use model that is based on subscriptions.

According to Wipro, the solution has been designed to help clients fast track their digital transformation efforts and work towards developing a resilient enterprise that can successfully operate as a hybrid workplace in the present pandemic situation.

The Indian IT services firm will integrate its Desktop as a Service platform, virtuadesk, and Digital Workspace solution with a host of services provided by Citrix and HPE.

The partnership will utilize Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop Services with a zero-trust security strategy along with purpose-built Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) from HPE to handle workloads and provide secure, high-performance virtual compute environments via HPE GreenLake cloud services.

Wipro said that the combination of advanced solutions and architecture will completely support the development of modern virtual workspaces with flexible commercial models for ensuring continuity of business.

Wipro virtuadesk is said to offer accelerators for cloud readiness assessment, application life cycle management, and cloud migration. Apart from that, virtuadesk is claimed to make it easier to tap into the benefits that come with artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, automation, increased mobility, and advanced analytics.

This provides an ecosystem for enhanced employee engagement and collaboration via simpler IT. Virtuadesk also facilitates greater workplace efficiency and accessibility, with round-the-clock access to apps and data, said Wipro.
