TransPerfect acquires Belgian entertainment company Lylo Media Group

TransPerfect, a provider of language and technology solutions, has acquired Lylo Media Group, a Belgium-based provider of dubbing, voiceover, audio description, subtitling, and hard-of-hearing services, for an undisclosed price.

Established in 2012 in Brussels, Lylo Media Group is said to have built a strong footprint across Europe. The company has studios in France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, and Morocco.

Some of the clients of Lylo Media Group are Viacom Group (MTV, Paramount), Discovery Channel, HBO, Toei, Ubisoft, and other major entertainment companies.

Lylo Media Group is set to become a division of the TransPerfect family of companies. The entertainment company will continue to be headed by Founder and CEO Grégoire Parcollet, who will be the Division President at the corporate level.

TransPerfect said that the YouDub cloud technology of Lylo Media Group will be integrated with the former’s Media.NEXT AI-powered platform, and also its GlobalLink translation management technology. The combination is expected to give clients an end-to-end media localization solution that will significantly boost the speed and efficiency with which customers can release content across the world.

TransPerfect claims to have quickly expanded into the media space through its recently signed deals to acquire Lassostudios, Sublime Subtitling & Translation, and AGM Factory. The company said that it has made investments in offering the most advanced dubbing, voiceover, and subtitling services, including AI-driven solutions, to clients through its Media.NEXT platform.

TransPerfect said that merging with Lylo Media Group is an important step in the company’s move to expand its global network of owned and operated studios. The transaction is said to complement its existing infrastructure while substantially improving its European production capabilities.

Furthermore, TransPerfect acquisition of Lylo Media Group will bolster the former’s overall commitment to the media localization market, including continued investment in technology solutions aimed at optimizing the media localization process.
