The Hilb Group acquires Healthcare Liability Consultants Agency
The Hilb Group, a US-based middle market insurance agency has acquired Healthcare Liability Consultants Agency for an undisclosed price.
The insurance agency said that it has also hired Julie Paton, the former owner of Healthcare Liability Consultants Agency and a medical malpractice insurance specialist, as a producer. The deal became effective since 1 March 2020, said The Hilb Group.
Julie Paton, who is based in Cleveland, Ohio, will join the central/midwest operations of the insurance agency and will continue to offer tailored solutions to her clients. The Hilb Group said that the addition of Julie Paton will complement and bolster its medical malpractice capabilities in the central region.
Earlier this month, The Hilb Group acquired LifePlus Insurance Agency, a full-service ancillary benefits agency based in Massachusetts. LifePlus Insurance Agency mainly offers insurance for group life, dental, worksite, and workers’ compensation, predominantly to municipalities across Massachusetts.
