Diabetes is a disease which cannot be cured but it can be managed. It strikes late in one’s life. There will be limited supply of the effective insulin. When a person eats less he will be well as his diet will remain within the limit of what his own insulin can manage.

Diabetes can be controlled by adopting an optimistic view of life and by following a good diet regimen and exercise. Simplest form of the exercise like walking, also controls the diabetes. Exercise improves the metabolism and leads to better control of glucose. Exercise also reduces the weight and lowers the blood pressure.

Blood pressure is elevated in diabetic patients. Exercise can facilitate the reduction of insulin dosage and other oral hypoglycemic drugs. Along with the exercise, diet should also be controlled. The sugar should be substituted with the artificial sweeteners like Aspartame based sweeteners. If you walk you will be walking away from diabetes also.
