ResMed launches tube-up full face CPAP mask AirFit F30i

ResMed, a California-based medical equipment company, has launched AirFit F30i, a tube-up full face continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) mask for patients with obstructive sleep apnea.

With the launch, the company has completed its full face mask portfolio on the market.

Full face CPAP users have options to choose from the type of connection either tube-up or tube-down, type of cushion style either compact under-the-nose or traditional over-the-nose or even memory foam versus silicone cushion.

According to ResMed, the tube-up design of AirFit F30i makes it easier to sleep irrespective of the position and the cushion rests under the nose to help in preventing next-day red marks, soreness, and also irritation on the nasal bridge.

Additionally, there is a quick-release elbow which enables users to disconnect quickly and reattach the mask from its tubing at night without the need of removing the mask.

ResMed had previously launched the nasal tube-up AirFit N30i in January 2019 followed by the nasal pillows tube-up AirFit P30i in April 2019.

Presently, AirFit F30i is available in the US, Canada, and most of Europe, with launches to take place in other countries.
