Quotient acquires location intelligence technology company Ubimo

Quotient acquisition of Ubimo : Quotient Technology, a retail marketing technology provider, has acquired Israeli SaaS location intelligence company Ubimo for an undisclosed price, as per the latest retail technology news.

Ubimo is said to use advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to combine behavioral data on 150 plus million monthly active users with its geographic-indexing technology to enhance the efficacy of media campaigns. The company’s platform is claimed to help businesses to incorporate strategic insights into decision-making, thereby boosting performance across shopper marketing, programmatic, retail, publishers, and out-of-home.

The Israeli data and media activation company’s demand-side platform (DSP) is expected to further bolster the targeted digital media solutions of Quotient Technology. It will speed up the development of the self-service platform of the retail marketing technology provider and will address the evolving requirements of consumer-packaged goods (CPGs) brands and retailers.

Quotient acquisition of Ubimo is expected to accelerate the former’s product development of a self-service platform, using which marketers get to plan, buy, and streamline media campaigns directly from an automated platform.

Ubimo offers marketers with a demand-side platform, which manages ad campaigns across publishers programmatically via an automated bidding and self-service platform.

Commenting on Quotient acquisition of Ubimo, Steven Boal – CEO and Chairman of the Quotient Technology board, said: “This transaction will position Quotient for even stronger performance in the CPG and retail industries we serve. We believe the Ubimo platform will help us accelerate product development of a Quotient self-service platform, one of our strategic objectives.”

The US retail marketing technology provider had previously worked with Ubimo for many years to help deploy targeted media for CPG customers and retail partners. By adding Ubimo into its existing media platform, and layering in its shopper data, Quotient Technology is looking to meaningfully enhance campaign performance for customers. Apart from that, Ubimo will offer a new customer and partner base, including leaders in adjacent markets like out-of-home advertising.
