Pragmatic Works Consulting acquired by 3Cloud

3Cloud, a Microsoft Azure services company backed by Gryphon Investors, has acquired Pragmatic Works Consulting, the consulting arm of Pragmatic Works, a services firm focused on Microsoft’s cloud and data platforms.

The financial terms of the deal were not revealed.

3Cloud, which is majority-owned by Gryphon Investors, claimed that the acquisition will grow its data and analytics capabilities and geographic presence to create the largest Azure pure-play services company in the US. The company also expects to gain an expanded geographic footprint through the acquisition to better cater to clients across the US.

Meanwhile, Pragmatic Works Training will continue to operate as an independent company under the leadership of Brian Knight, the CEO and Founder of Pragmatic Works, who said: “I’m extremely proud of the market-leading position Pragmatic Works has built in the Microsoft data and analytics space.
