Pipeline Packaging acquires packaging container manufacturer HAZMATPAC

Pipeline Packaging, a US distributor of rigid industrial containers, has acquired HAZMATPAC, which is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of packaging containers for the safe transport of hazardous materials.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

HAZMATPAC was established in 1991 to address the demand created for certified packaging due to domestic and international regulations related to shipping hazardous materials (hazmat). Currently, HAZMATPAC is claimed to be a leading player in the specialized field of hazmat packaging.

Chris Nelson – President of Pipeline Packaging said: “This acquisition represents a significant product line extension for our company and an exciting opportunity to expand into this niche business.”

Pipeline Packaging said that HAZMATPAC will operate as its fully-owned independent subsidiary. HAZMATPAC has a couple of locations, a 48,000 square foot warehouse located in Houston, and a 31,000 square foot warehouse in Philadelphia.
