Phillips Carbon Black commissions 8MW power plant in Mundra

Phillips Carbon Black, an Indian carbon black manufacturer, said that it has commissioned an 8MW power plant in Mundra, Gujarat.

The new power plant in Mundra adds to the 76MW of power produced by the company’s cogeneration plants built across its manufacturing units.

Phillips Carbon Black has four plants at Durgapur in West Bengal, Kochi in Kerala, Palej in Gujarat along with Mundra, which produce carbon black.

Owned by the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, the company has an annual production capacity of 571,000MT with a dedicated capacity of 40000MT of specialty black.
