Mahindra Group to set up advanced design center for mobility products in UK

Mahindra Group said that it will establish an open advanced design center for mobility products in the UK in the West Midlands, which will operate as Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (M.A.D.E).

According to the Indian conglomerate, the new center of excellence (CoE) will come under the Mahindra Global Design Network, which includes the Mahindra Design Studio in Mumbai and Pininfarina Design in Turin, Italy.

Mahindra Group said that Mahindra Advanced Design Europe is a strategic improvement of its global design capabilities and renews its commitment to provide customers with sophisticated, authentic SUVs.

Mahindra Advanced Design Europe is expected to further improve the group’s distinctive product designs and differentiated technology offerings to advance its connected car experiences.

“M.A.D.E will contribute to all future automotive and mobility products including Born EV SUVs and be a resource available to Mahindra Group companies. It will give us a quantum leap in both capacity and capability in the design space.”

As the Coventry region is a powerhouse of automotive design, Mahindra Group expects its open advanced design center for mobility products to contribute and utilize the skills, expertise, and experience of the network of design talent.

Mahindra Advanced Design Europe will begin operations from 1 July 2021.
