KEC International bags $150m worth contracts across business lines

KEC International, an Indian construction engineering company, has bagged new contracts totaling INR 11.4 billion ($150 million) across its business lines.

The company, which is a subsidiary of Rama Prasad Goenka Group (), said that its transmission and distribution (T&D) unit has won contracts of INR 9.63 billion ($130 million) for T&D projects across the Middle East and .

KEC International’s railways business unit won a contract of INR 1.13 billion to supply a couple of 25 kV overhead electrification (OHE) and related works for speed upgradation in India.

Its civil business unit won an INR 64 crore contract in India for executing infra works in the hydrocarbon sector.

The orders secured in International T&D (along with the orders in the Domestic T&D announced earlier) have significantly enhanced our order book in our core T&D businesses.

“Our Railway business continues to expand its presence in the emerging areas with its first order in the area of Semi High-Speed Rail. The entry of our Civil business in the Hydrocarbon segment opens up a large opportunity for us in this growing area.”
