GMM Pfaudler begins operations at Vatva manufacturing facility

GMM Pfaudler Ltd (GMMP), a supplier of critical process equipment and systems to the chemical and pharma industries, said that it has started manufacturing operations at its facility at Vatva near Ahmedabad.

The company had acquired the assets owned by HDO Technologies via an e-auction in March 2021.

GMM Pfaudler said that the new facility will immediately boost its capacity in heavy engineering. At the same time, it will free up capacity in Karamsad to grow the company’s glass lining business.

The company’s facility in Vatva, which is spanned over 11.9 acres, has seven manufacturing bays, which are equipped to manufacture a variety of heavy engineering equipment.

The equipment will have a crane lifting capacity of 200 metric tonnes, plate rolling capabilities up to 110 milimeters, deep-hole drilling capabilities, orbital welding capabilities, strip cladding capabilities, vertical turret lathes, a 308.6 square meters clean room for fabricating high alloy materials, and other machine tools.

Tarak Patel – Managing Director of GMM Pfaudler said: “We are extremely happy to have commenced manufacturing operations within such a short period of time. Over the last few months we have seen signinficant improvement in order intake and the quick start-up of this facilty will go a long way in growing our Heavy Engineering business.”
