As per the contract, the German wind turbine manufacturer will supply and install 27 of its N149/4.0-4.5 turbines, besides fulfilling a premium service agreement for a period of 15 years.

The Evrencik wind farm will be built in the province of Kirklareli in Eastern Thrace. Installation of the first turbines at the Turkish wind farm is scheduled to begin in October 2020.

According to Nordex, the average wind speed at the wind farm site is 8m/s at a hub height of 125 meters.

Nordex said that the annual yield of its 27 Delta 4000 series turbines is estimated to be approximately 534GWH.

The components of the turbines, which include rotor blades, anchor cages, towers, and generators will be sourced locally, which will give Evrencik Elektrik the advantage of getting a higher feed-in tariff.
