DNA Payments acquires payment solutions provider CR7 Services

DNA Payments, a new payment technology company, has acquired CR7 Services, a UK-based payment solutions provider, for an undisclosed price.

Founded in 2014, CR7 Services has been offering sophisticated, secure and reliable payment acceptance solutions to UK retailers. The payment solutions provider is said to have deployed nearly 36,000 terminals within the UK market so far through its two operating companies – Optomany, a payment acceptance solution provider, and 123Send, a secure payment solutions provider.

Another company owned by CR7 Services is 123 Hire, a provider of short term payment terminal services.

While Optomany serves all types of retailers, 123Send and 123 Hire provide card payment solutions that target small and micro retailers.

DNA Payments acquisition of CR7 Services marks the first transaction for the former, which has been advised by Proskauer Rose and PwC.
