Conagra Brands acquires Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin business

Food acquisition news : US packaged foods company Conagra Brands has acquired the Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin business, a producer of frozen breakfast and entree flatbread sandwiches for an undisclosed price.

Sandwich Bros. offers consumers with on-the-go convenience flatbread pocket sandwiches which are claimed to be filled with proteins like Angus beef, chicken brought up without antibiotics, all natural sausage as well as real Wisconsin cheese.

Conagra Brands says that the Sandwich Bros. products will be manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as was the case before the transaction.

It was in late December, 2017 Conagra Brands had entered into an agreement to acquire the Sandwich Bros. business.

The frozen flatbread pocket sandwiches manufacturer had net sales of around $60 million for the twelve months ending November 2017.

Sean Connolly – president and CEO of Conagra Brands, had then commented on the Conagra Brands acquisition of Sandwich Bros., as: “Adding the Sandwich Bros. business to our portfolio is another step in Conagra Brands’ ongoing work to accelerate growth.

“This acquisition will bring Conagra unique capabilities and expertise within the frozen handheld category, which we look forward to leveraging for further growth and extension into additional Conagra brands.”
