BJ’s Wholesale Club to open six new clubs to expand in Eastern US

BJ’s Wholesale Club, a membership-only warehouse club chain operating in the Eastern US, will be opening half a dozen new clubs this fiscal year to grow its footprint.

The new clubs will be opened in Seabrook in New Hampshire, Port Charlotte in Florida, South Fayette and Ross Township in Pennsylva,nia, Commack in New York, and Lansing in Michigan.

The announcement marks BJ’s Wholesale Club’s foray into the greater Pittsburgh area and also Lansing.

Bill Werner – executive vice president, strategy and development, BJ’s Wholesale Club said: “We’ve made great progress accelerating the pace of our new club openings in the last few years and we’re looking forward to opening six new locations this fiscal year.

The new clubs from BJ’s Wholesale Club will provide a selection of fresh foods, a full-service deli, and household essentials such as cleaning products, paper products, diapers, pet supplies and others. Additionally, the clubs will house a range of fashion for the family, toys, seasonal items, hot tech, and certain local products.

Furthermore, the new BJ’s Wholesale Club locations in Port Charlotte, South Fayette, Ross Township, and Lansing will have the retailer’s gas station.

The warehouse club chain also said that each of the new clubs is expected to generate nearly 150 jobs. Currently, BJ’s Wholesale Club has 221 clubs and 151 BJ’s Gas locations across 17 states.
