Bearkat II wind farm : CIP, Tri Global Energy begin commercial operations

Tri Global and (CIP) have started commercial operations at the 162MW Bearkat II wind farm in Texas.

Located in Glasscock County on 30,000 acres of leased land, the wind farm comprises 47 V126-3.45 MW Vestas turbines.

“We are proud of this project’s contribution to local jobs and generating clean wind energy to serve the Texas market.”

Bearkat II is an extension of the 197MW , which has been in operation since 2017.

– Chairman and CEO of Tri Global Energy said: “Over the life of the project, Bearkat II will contribute millions in taxes to support local public services such as schools, roads, libraries and many others, including a stable income to local landowners who have leased land to host the wind project.”

Tri Global Energy, which is a Texas-based renewable energy developer, started developing the Bearkat wind project in 2012, which was later acquired by the Danish investment firm CIP in 2016.
