Aker Solutions wins contract extension from ConocoPhillips for North Sea fields

Aker Solutions has bagged a three-year contract extension from ConocoPhillips to an existing framework agreement for work at the latter’s operated North Sea fields.

The Norwegian engineering company will continue as the main supplier of maintenance and modifications work offshore Norway for ConocoPhillips with the agreement to run from January 2021 until the end of 2023.

Aker Solutions said that the contract value will be decided by future call-offs for maintenance and modifications work and could be in the range of NOK 300 million and NOK 700 million per year. The Norwegian contractor said that the range does not represent a minimum or maximum amount and will be subject to change.

Kjetel Digre – CEO of Aker Solutions said: “We look forward to delivering new projects and services to one of the largest maintenance and modifications portfolios offshore Norway.”

Aker Solutions said that the work will be handled and carried out by its office in Stavanger and fabrication yard located in Egersund. The agreement will also give work for its offshore employees, said the Norwegian engineering company, which will book the contract as order intake in Q3 2020.
