Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), a ticket transaction settlement services provider, has acquired a majority share in nuTravel, a provider of corporate retailing solutions for airlines.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in 2002, nuTravel is said to have developed a direct-distribution B2B and B2B2C traveler management and booking application platform, called Universal Connect.

The nuTravel platform is claimed to integrate e-commerce, user or traveler administration, and in-depth reporting. The integrated platform is said to improve the corporate business potential of airlines with transformative application technologies, forward-approach, and strong administration tools to drive customer experience.

Carmine Carpanzano – Co-Founder, President and CEO of nuTravel said: “nuTravel has been at the forefront of corporate online retailing for airlines since 2012. ARC’s investment in our company and partnership — coupled with the strength and talents of our team — will accelerate our research and development, product innovations and continued enhancement of our software.

“The nuTravel team is excited to partner with ARC to offer airlines flexible retailing solutions that support their distribution strategies and to help further ARC’s strategic goals.”

nuTravel will operate as an independent subsidiary of Airlines Reporting Corporation, with a continued focus on innovation and delivery excellence for airlines that cater to corporate travelers.

Airlines Reporting Corporation, by acquiring majority stake in nuTravel, expects to step up its feature-rich, omnichannel retailing solutions to travel agencies, airlines, and business class travelers to offer an integrated customer experience.

The ticket transaction settlement services provider had recently invested in travel industry-focused blockchain solution developer Blockskye and travel data aggregation and technology solutions provider Traxo. The investment in nuTravel combined with its stakes in Blockskye and Traxo will enable to help Airlines Reporting Corporation to provide an expanded range of solutions for the end-to-end air travel journey.

Mike Premo – Airlines Reporting Corporation President and CEO said: “ARC is on a fast track to help airlines and travel managers provide their travelers the streamlined, simple and consistent shopping experience they expect, regardless of their purchasing method. nuTravel’s innovative technology and solutions are a perfect complement to those from Traxo and Blockskye, bringing ARC’s omnichannel strategic vision to life. We look forward to working closely in partnership with all three companies and our customers in the coming years.”
