Accenture acquires Ohio-based strategy activation consultancy Root Inc.

Accenture has acquired Root Inc., an Ohio-based management consulting company, in a move to expedite organizational culture and transformational change with creative and experiential approaches.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Root Inc. for 30 years has been enabling Global 2000 organizations to activate strategies and transform cultures by employing creative and visual methods for speeding up employee engagement and change effectiveness.

It joins Accenture’s Talent & Organization / Human Potential team, and will bolster the latter’s organizational change management capabilities with various new experiential and digital assets designed to have people intellectually and emotionally engaged and do so quickly and at scale.

Root Inc. has 130 experts based in Ohio and Illinois.

One of the company’s main organizational change methodologies is the Root Learning Map experience, which employs a large visual format in combination with data and dialogue for illustrating change journeys of companies. This is designed to have employees engaged and engrossed in the strategic changes occuring across their organizations and connected to their individual roles, thereby leading to accelerated and sustained strategic change.
