The Dirty Buffalo, a chicken wings restaurant based in Norfolk, said that it has been approved to offer franchises for sale across Virginia.

Established in 2012 by Russell and Stephanie Gilbert, The Dirty Buffalo is a Western New York themed sports grill and bar which offers Buffalo-style chicken wings and a range of comfort foods on its menu.

Currently, The Dirty Buffalo chicken wings restaurant is seeking passionate and motivated investors to introduce its “Northern Comfort Food” brand to other parts of the American state.

The chicken wings restaurant chain said that its owners and seasoned managers will train the first franchisees.

Russell Gilbert – Founder & CEO of The Dirty Buffalo said: “The most important franchises will be the first three to five. So, we have to ensure that each one of them will have the unwavering support of our longest-tenured staff, who have lived and learned in this restaurant for the past several years.”

The chicken wings restaurant opened its first location at the old Retro Diner spot in the North Colley neighborhood in Norfolk in March 2012. Since then, it has expanded from being a small, quick-service restaurant to a couple of large full-service locations in Norfolk.

The Dirty Buffalo has a full bar, a unique Western New York style menu and various New York and Virginia craft beers to offer to its guests.

Russell Gilbert said: “Business is doing very well. I think it’s our focus on service and attention to detail that really brings people back again and again.  And our wings, of course!”
