Mahindra unveils Mahindra Roxor off road vehicle in the US

Auto industry news : Mahindra has unveiled its new off road vehicle Roxor for the US side-by-side off road vehicle segment, which has been reported to have a starting price of about $15,000.

Mahindra Automotive North America (MANA), the North American automotive headquarters of the global auto manufacturer, has conceived, designed, engineered the new Mahindra off highway vehicle.

According to MANA, the new Mahindra Roxor off road vehicle is not like the plastic-bodied, belt-driven vehicles that have been the norm in the Side x Side segment and is rather made up of a steel body on a boxed steel frame.

Mahindra Roxor off highway vehicle is powered by a Mahindra turbo-diesel 4 cylinder engine, while having an automotive style 5-speed manual gear system.

Mahindra Managing Director Pawan Goenka, commenting on the new Mahindra off road vehicle, said: “Mahindra’s 70-year automotive history has been forged by making authentic, rugged, purpose-driven vehicles; ROXOR is the embodiment of this history…and our brand.”

The new Mahindra off road vehicle is being produced at MANA’s auto manufacturing plant in Metro Detroit.

Commenting on the new Mahindra Roxor off road vehicle, Rick Haas, President and CEO of MANA, said: “The ROXOR creates a new sub-segment in the Side x Side industry, and the response we’re getting from our newly appointed dealer body has been really outstanding. We have a National Dealer Meeting scheduled on March 18-20th, in San Antonio, Texas, where we’ll sit down and discuss the roll-out and future product offerings.

“We’re approaching our goal of 300 ‘1st wave’ dealers, and expect that we’ll reach this target between now and the end of the show.”

The new Mahindra Roxor can only be used as an off road vehicle and is not legal to driven along the streets.
