Home appliance company GE Appliances (GEA) will make two separate investments totaling over $200 million to expand its dishwasher and laundry manufacturing facilities in Louisville, Kentucky.

The investments will be used in Appliance Park, the largest manufacturing facility of the home appliance company and also in its headquarters location in Louisville, throughout 2018 and 2019.

The expansion projects will bring in 400 new jobs in Louisville, said the home appliance company owned by Haier.

GE Appliances will invest in its laundry production plant to accommodate a new topload washer, a completely new dryer platform and also additional production capacity for existing models.
